Pastor Matt Tosten: Senior Pastor
When I was called to full-time ministry, God called me to be a preacher and a pastor. As a preacher, to always preach our absolute need of Jesus as the way, truth, and life. He is the only was to the Father. As a pastor, to love, lead, and care as a shepherd those God has given me in our flock and beyond.
When they finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?” “Yes, Lord,” he said, “you know I love you.” Jesus said, “feed my lambs.” John 21:15
Pastor Jeremy Garman: Associate Pastor
As a child being raised in the Greenvillage Church of God, I was surrounded by good training. This church is rooted in the truth of the Word of God and the good news of Jesus Christ. As someone who rebelled from God and then returned to the truth, I feel called to train the next generation in the way they should go. The burden I have for our youth to know the truth in a culture that redefines morality is an important part of that calling. Whether ministering to our youth or as the associate pastor, I am blessed to carry the truth of the gospel and the peace of the Holy Spirit wherever God is calling me to serve.
Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it. Proverbs 22:6
Jennifer Doub: Children’s Director
I am excited to use my passion and energy to serve as the Children’s Ministry Director at Greenvillage Church of God. I oversee children’s programs from birth though 5th grade. My desire is that children will come to church with an eagerness to learn about Jesus. I want children to understand how special they are to God and know how much He loves them. I pray each child will begin a saving relationship with Jesus that will transform their lives and the lives of those around them!
People were bringing little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them. Mark 10:13-16
Bonnie Engle: Administrative Assistant and Church Secretary
I see my mission at Greenvillage Church of God as using the gifts that God has given me to help and assist others as they too use the gifts that God has given them.
For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, through many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. Romans 12:4-6
