Pastor Matt Tosten was born and raised in our beautiful Cumberland Valley. He graduated from Shippensburg University with a degree in Criminal Justice in 1999. While in college Pastor Matt had his call to full-time ministry reaffirmed by the Lord and began seminary at Winebrenner Theological Seminary in Findlay, Ohio. While in seminary, Pastor Matt met and married his helpmate and best friend, Bethany Lightner. Upon graduating from seminary in April 2002, Pastor Matt served as an associate pastor for a time in Latrobe, Pennsylvania before becoming the pastor of Trier Ridge Community Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana. While in Indiana, Pastor Matt and Bethany had two boys, Caleb and Asher. Sensing God’s call to seek His will, Pastor Matt joined the Greenvillage Church of God as their pastor in January of 2012.
Pastor Matt has a passion for preaching and seeing people and churches take hold of the will of God. His preaching style and manner are relevant, and focused on the truth of God’s Word as we seek to live out lives that are not only obedient, but purposeful.
